About Us

Our Lady of Grace Community (OLGC) metamorphosized from a prayer and discernment team comprising Alice-Mary Theophile, Yvonne Alexander and Anestine Theophile-Lafond. After eight months of online prayer sessions to discern God’s will for a lay community in Dominica, Alice-Mary and Yvonne began parish outreach in the Diocese of Roseau to share the dream of a local lay community. Men and women from across the diocese caught the dream. On November 24, 2023 this group of men and women who were engaged in Building Lay Community adopted the name OLGC. OLGC is a church-based charismatic lay community. It espouses the teachings of the Roman Catholic Church but embraces persons from all religious persuasions.

Fund-Raising

The Community is aware of the need for a soup kitchen and overnight shelter to meet the needs of the homeless poor in Roseau and environs. As a non-profit organization we depend on donations from individuals and agencies and deeds of covenant to fund our ministries.
